THE DUX 8008

WITH CUSTOMIZABLE COMFORT ZONES PLUS ADDITIONAL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTMENT

The DUX 8008 is our most advanced and luxurious bed – a bed with a design based on more than 95 years of research and development. The DUX 8008 has nearly four times as many springs as an average bed – and more customization possibilities than many other beds on the market. The DUX 8008 offers exceptional deep suspension, thanks to multiple layers of the DUX spring system, involving thousands of interconnected and dynamically interacting springs. It also has as many as six Pascal cassettes arranged according to the body’s three comfort zones: shoulders, hips and legs. Each zone can be customized with a soft, medium or firm cassette, thereby adapting to suit your individual needs. In addition, the DUX 8008 features lumbar support for optimum relief and recovery– individually adjustable for each side of the bed. Three unique DUX innovations in one bed, which together create unbeatable comfort.

THE DUX 8008 FEATURES

DUX is more than just a bed – it’s a vehicle for wellbeing. It’s the culmination of 95 years of research and innovation. The ultimate purpose of the DUX System is to enable deep sleep. This sleep stage is the most important and the most elusive. Researchers at The Karolinska Institute – the prestigious medical university that awards the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine – performed a study investigating the effect different types of mattresses had on the body and sleep quality. Their results showed that those who slept on a DUX bed not only fall asleep faster, but remained in deep sleep longer - approximately one hour more each night. This benefit is extremely important to your health since it is during Deep Sleep that the body and immune system can repair, rebuild and restore itself.

Adjustable Lumbar Support

A Suspension System For Your Body

Learn More

The DUX Bed’s adjustable lumbar support system allows you to customize your side of the bed to your personal requirement for comfort, giving you additional lumbar support, should you want or need it. Simply depress the retractable lever and spin to raise the lumbar area to meet your personal comfort.

THE PASCAL® CUSTOMIZABLE SUPPORT SYSTEM

SEPARATE SUPPORT ZONES FOR YOUR SHOULDERS, HIPS AND LEGS

Comprised of interchangeable cassettes of different spring tensions, our patented Pascal System lets you custom configure its parts to match the exact requirements of your individual body shape and weight - and to change them when you change.

HOW IT WORKS

Remove the top pad and unzip the top of the bed.

A zipper allows for easy access to the Pascal spring cassettes.

The Pascal spring cassettes come in three densities: soft, medium and firm.

Customize the support and comfort for each side of the bed.

SEPARATE SUPPORT ZONES FOR YOUR SHOULDERS, HIPS AND LEGS

LEGS

The leg support cassette is designed to slightly elevate your legs to help align your spine and maintain circulation to your feet.

HIPS

The hip support cassette allows your hips to sink in while providing just enough counter support to help keep your spine straight, loose and relaxed.

SHOULDERS

The shoulder support cassette is designed to let your shoulders sink in to reduce pressure points that can inhibit circulation.

REMOVABLE TOP PAD

Every DUX bed comes with our Xupport Top Pad. This 2.5 inch replaceable cotton covered latex top pad adds extra softness and cushioning, and is an integral part of The DUX® Bed, enhancing the personal feel and comfort vital to a great night’s rest. Unlike most beds with pillow tops, our top pad is not fastened to the bed. Not only does this complement the contouring nature of our beds, but in the case of a spill or wear, you can simply replace the top pad without having to replace your entire mattress.

Dynamic Support

SWEDISH STEEL CONTINUOUS COIL SPRING DESIGN

Only the dynamic nature of a spring system can contour to all of your movements at night. The revolutionary DUX spring system adjusts itself to the weight and shape of your body. It moves as you move. It conforms to your contours, providing continuous, dynamic support along every point of your body.

The DUX spring design is neither too firm nor too soft. It is flexible enough to let your shoulders and hips sink in, yet resilient enough to rise up and support your lower back. Vital pressure points — especially your spine — are supported in the most ergonomically healthy positions possible, letting your blood circulate freely while your muscles completely relax.

DUX, from the Bottom, Up:

1.

Our bottom layer of springs provides deep suspension. This section absorbs and distributes weight so the bed remains stable when you or your partner move about.

2.

The middle spring layer delivers continuous lumbar support while rising up to conform to the contours of your body.

 3.

The penultimate layer of a DUX bed is comprised of our customizable Pascal Cassettes. Each cassette is selected to correspond to your individual needs.

4.

Our plush Top Pad forms the upper-most layer of a DUX bed. Utilizing latex harvested from the Hevea rubber trees, and cased in pure, long-fiber cotton.

Internal Frame Mattress

The DUX Bed is not just another mattress– it's a piece of furniture built to last for generations. With The DUX Bed, you no longer need a bed frame because the hardwood frame is literally built into the beds foundation. Simply thread the leg of your choice into place on the interior frame. Get tired of your leg selection– simply replace the leg to fit your needs.

THE MYTH OF THE HARD BED

Transcending Firm or Soft

Do you know why you have been told that sleeping on a firm bed is good for you? Historically mattresses were made of materials that would compress. This caused mattresses to sag in the middle forcing people to sleep in a hammock position. Not surprisingly people complained about back and neck pain and as a remedy were told to put a board under the mattress for support. Thus, the myth of the hard bed was born.

When selecting the best mattress for back pain, most people equate firmness with support, and softness with comfort. However, the best method for evaluating a mattress is to examine how it supports the spine. Maximum comfort and health can only be achieved if your muscles can completely relax and your spine is supported in proper alignment.

FIRM
Studies show that if a mattress is too
firm it forces your body to conform
to it. DUX is just the opposite –
it conforms to you.

SOFT
When a mattress is too soft,
your body sinks into a hammock position,
causing your spine to curve unnaturally.
